Founded in 2017, Wishing on a Star Travel began with a simple dream: to help people create unforgettable vacations while building something meaningful together. Today, we’re a home-based agency rooted in NE Ohio with a vibrant team of travel advisors spread across the U.S.—all united by a love of travel, a heart for service, and a passion for creating truly magical experiences for our guests.

What is required to apply?
- ✨ Have firsthand travel experience
- You’ve personally experienced the magic—whether that’s Disney destinations, cruising, or all-inclusive resorts—at least three times in the past five years. (For Disney-focused advisors, on-property stays are required.)
- ✨ Know your niche inside and out
- You bring deep knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for your area of expertise and love staying current on what’s new and noteworthy.
- ✨ Are ready to treat this like a business
- You’re able to dedicate a minimum of 20 hours per week and are available to support clients if travel issues arise—because peace of mind matters.
- ✨ Communicate with confidence and care
- You excel at written and verbal communication and know how to guide, reassure, and connect with clients every step of the way.
- ✨ Embrace social media and technology
- You’re comfortable using social platforms and digital tools to market your business, stay organized, and serve clients efficiently.
- ✨ Are organized, driven, and detail-focused
- You’re self-motivated, thrive on details, and enjoy turning complex plans into seamless experiences.
- ✨ Believe in continual learning
- You’re eager to participate in agency and supplier training and understand that ongoing education is key to long-term success.
What can you expect of us?
- Support from day one, including business coaching with agency owner
- Access to an on-demand, 7-step training program that will teach you the basics of the industry and more
- Access to supplier trainings and consideration for onsite events
- Competitive commission scale with new agents starting at 70% with the ability to earn up to 85% commission (based on overall traveled sales)
- Timely commission payments, paid out twice per month via direct deposit
- Agency owner who is full-time in the industry and is available daily
Please note that this is a 1099 – Independent Contractor position. There is a $40.00 technology access fee (billed annually) that covers the following, which keeps us compliant with Department of Labor rules and regulations:
- Errors and Omissions Insurance
- Email Address
- Website Listing
- Extension for our 1-888 line
- Use of our newsletters and once per month blog post – to be shared with your audience (content creation, done for you!)
- Access to our training platform in Google Classroom, containing videos, documents and guides
- Business coaching with agency owner
- Private agent forum to ask questions and receive support
- Access to our vacation planning tools such as Travefy quotes/samples, sample emails, Canva documents and more
- Other items as specified in your contract
